It has certainly turned chilly the past few days! The wind has a wintery bite to it, but there has been some beautiful and much needed rain.
A couple of weeks ago, on a wild Sunday morning, we had our first Landcare tree planting. It was a lot of fun, and although the weather blew coldĀ and rained, we had a fabulous turn out, meeting new people and catching up with neighbours. With all this help, we planted nearly 700 trees along our gully from our dam to our boundary fence, and connecting with the neighbours extensive plantings. With only pines and the beautiful oaks on our farm, it is great to get some natives in as well, and there will be more to follow. There are more plantings happening this month, so we look forward to going along and helping with those.
