Yesterday I had a great afternoon over at Baw Baw Food Hub in Warragul, meeting some of their customers as they came in to collect their wonderful vegie boxes, offering some samples and telling our bread story. What a hive of activity, with the crew busily sorting and packing the boxes with beautiful fresh, organic, local vegies, and then the people coming in for their boxes and perhaps some butter, yoghurt, honey, preserves, free range pork, fruit, or bread. Food hubs like Baw Baw and Grow Lightly in Korumburra are such a great idea, and the people who volunteer to help make them happen are dedicated and fantastic.
People who would like to order our bread at Baw Baw Food Hub can do so through their online shop.
Here is a picture of our boxes and a peel; these were made by my dad, Ken, who is quite a hand at woodworking and makes musical instruments mostly these days. The big boxes can hold quite a few loaves and the smaller ones are for delivering our sourdough into shops, and also good for groceries!
