It feels like we are getting in to the swing of things now, a few weeks in. We have had fantastic support, and it is great to be doing something we believe in. It has certainly added another element to our week, baking two days and then delivering; it is a juggle at times, but so enjoyable and the smiles on peoples faces are very rewarding! It is lovely working in the bakery and looking out over our young orchard and espalier and our chooks. The kids have been having a ball out there too, playing in the long grass and modifying their big old trike to carry cut grass. Lucas has two new favourite things to do: get the washing off the line with a ladder, and washing lemons in the bakery. We need a large supply of lemons for zesting for the fruit loaf. And of course they all like to make their own loaves with left over dough.
We are looking forward to doing our first market this weekend; the Prom Country Farmers Market at Foster on Saturday.
