On this grey drizzly day, I thought I’d post this picture of our oak trees on a lovely autumn day a few months ago. They are in full leaf now of course, and probably enjoying the cooler and wetter conditions of the last few days. The humidity certainly made a difference to the sourdough I baked today; it rose beautifully and was ready to go in the oven earlier than normal. Luckily the oven was at the right temperature! It is nice walking over in the dark to the bakery in the morning, and coming in out of the drizzle to a glowing fire.
We are very happy and excited to be attending our first market later this month, at Foster. We will be taking our sourdough to the Prom Country Farmers Market, which will be a new experience for us, and quite exciting! We will have a couple of new products too; perhaps Preserved Lemon, Fennel and Rosemary sourdough, and a sourdough potato focaccia.
