We are very excited and pleased that Leongatha Health Nutrition and Whole Foods will be stocking our bread. Suzi and Glenn run a fantastic shop, with great products, organic produce, and happy, helpful staff. They will have fresh sourdough loaves on Wednesday; some of them are pictured here. From the front left, clockwise, is Sifted White, 100% Whole Wheat, 100% Spelt, 100% Rye, and Seeds and Sprouts. The Fruit loaves were still in the oven at the time of the photo. They are all wood fired, stoneground, and organic. It was a lovely day in the bakery today, an early, productive start, mixing all the doughs, mostly by hand at this stage as the amounts we are doing aren’t big enough to put in the spiral mixer, followed by stretching and turning the dough throughout the morning, a very satisfying thing to do as the dough becomes more pliant and alive. In the afternoon, I baked, milled some flour, cleaned, chopped wood, and listened to the races! We have a beautifully mowed lawn, thanks to Greg, and the kids each have their own clothesline now, thanks to some timber off cuts, a few screws, wire, help from Dad, and imagination.
