We have just lit the fire in the oven again, ready for tomorrow’s bake, loading it with pine branches and hardwood. It’s good exercise loading the wood in! Not to mention splitting it! The oven has retained plenty of heat, and we have a beautiful fire happening, so it will be nice and hot by tomorrow afternoon. Shortly I will feed the starters up ready for mixing in the morning, with flour I have milled today. It has been a gorgeous day; time to get some water onto the vegies.
