Welcome 2016!

Here we are at the start of a new year, refreshed and clear-minded, (for now anyway!), with plenty of enthusiasm and passion and ready to get back into baking. We have spent great times with family, and spent a week camping. It was good to be camping in our camper trailer, after having to live in it for a few months last year, while we finished building our house, and, as I said to Greg, it’s nice to come back from camping this Christmas and not have to build a house; it’s all done! Except for a spot of painting here and there. The vegie garden and orchard  are becoming more and more established, and the paddocks are resting after being leased out to beef. The bakery is complete, and we will strive to make plenty of good sourdough this year and really settle ourselves in after the madness of the past 12 months. It’s tremendously exciting and we’re looking forward to the year ahead.

The wheat is beginning to sprout for Monday’s bake, and the starters are ready to be fed after their little holiday as well. The wood is piled up ……….
